Are You Doing Enough to Awaken?

How to make evolutionary leaps. (with Introduction)

A Personal Message

This time of year, I (Jaraan) get wistful and nostalgic. Not only for the delicious scent of a cedar Christmas tree and traditional holiday food (which is pretty much the only part of the holidays I ever liked), but for those delightful exchanges with true spiritual family.

Back in the old days (pre-covid), we did channeled dialogues in person. I loved the smaller groups held in various areas – often meeting regularly in a host’s living room. On special occasions, we’d facilitate around campfires or during walks in a forest. Sincere seekers (Finders!) came eager to explore, discuss, and integrate life-changing spiritual wisdom. Truly life-enhancing conversations.

I loved the smaller groups because of the more personal atmosphere and because everyone had an opportunity to interact one on one if they wished. But the Masters and Angels I channel didn’t merely dispense information like a vending machine. They facilitated self-realization and transformation through dialogue and their radiant loving presence.

To be recognized and treated as equals by such advanced Beings leaves a profound impression deep in the Heart – a tangible, though unspoken reminder of our true Nature and Being.

The rapport that developed in these groups was unmatched. It felt like chatting with a wise, loving friend, not that “begging up a pedestal” that quite honestly makes me want to puke.

Some would be shocked at just how casual our events were. Though if you listen to the audio, you’re about to find out. No golden thrones or fancy decorations. More often that not, it was a plain chair and a side table for water that we poured ourselves. And if circumstances allowed, we had potluck snacks afterward.

Such a precious and profound experience. A comforting experience of spiritual homecoming. A coming home to ourselves. I miss that. A lot! It’s hard to recreate that same atmosphere on Zoom. But it’s the best option at the moment, given our international audience. Still, I’ve been wanting to recreate, as much as possible, that same comfy gathering of kindred atmosphere.

We’re welcoming our cosmic family – those who resonate with the ET Ascended Masters and Angels, their wisdom, and their reflections. We’re welcoming those who value guidance (reminders) of who we all are and clear, easy ways to realize and express that Grandeur consciously.

So I chose to post this exchange with Master Chan. It’s a great example of that lighthearted rapport. The original track title was simply, “Advancement.” And, as usual, Master Chan makes epiphany level points with causal candor and humor while addressing concerns about spiritual development.

I’m always reluctant to list topics addressed in dialogues because so much of what they share can apply to so many facets of life. But if you take the suggestions of the ET Ascended Masters – “Listen to your Heart listening to them (anyone)” – you’re sure to spot the relevance of their guidance to your particular situation.

That said, topics in this audio include fears of not progressing fast enough, guilt from not meditating as much as others, sadness, and loss of self-confidence and self-esteem.

Master Chan shares a key point on where many heart-centered, well-meaning people get hung up, self-checks to determine if you’re on your path, and ways to use negative beliefs and savvy paradoxical logic to advance your evolution.

I sincerely hope those who get it will listen and those who listen will get it. May you experience the comforting and inspiring realizations available in this loving wisdom, and be guided to join with us to create at a higher level that spiritual family homecoming atmosphere for events in the coming year.

No matter how in tune we think we are or indeed may be, it’s handy to have an anchor in the storm and a lighthouse on the shore. We may not be famous (yet), but we are accessible. Few get such a precious opportunity. Now, more than ever, we welcome you to be one of them. ~ Jaraan

Student: I would like to know how I'm doing on my path to the ascension. I feel like there's a piece of me that's missing and I feel kind of a sadness or a stuck feeling. And there's a guilt that I'm feeling because I'm not doing as many of these specialized meditations. And then there's this conflict about going up into the higher dimensions and also being in your heart. And should there even be a conflict with that? Can you do both? And I'm kind of feeling a sadness. I was feeling a lot more self-confidence about two months ago than what I am now. I feel kind of like I've gone down a little bit in my sense of self-esteem and I don't know why, unless this is being brought up to clear. And I'm thinking, am I getting ready to make an evolutionary leap or am I just plain at an empasse or a stuck place?

Master Chan: Beautiful questions. Okay, definitely getting ready to make an evolutionary leap. This whole guilt thing – I'm going to have to definitely flag that a little bit. Is evolution about doing or being?

Student: It's about being.

Master Chan: Okay. What doings are required for you to be? [group laughter]

Student: Are you asking?

Master Chan: Yes! [group laughter] Well, I'm certainly asking you to consider the question, all right? Because if I'm not doing these specialized meditations enough, okay, so who says what is enough? First of all, okay, and yes, you know...

Student: I know some people that do them all the time.

Master Chan: Okay, are you those people?

Student: No, I'm not doing them all the time.

Master Chan: Okay, well, I'm not doing them all the time either. [group laughter] Okay, all right, so you cannot compare yourself to anyone else. You are on your own unique journey. Okay?

We have offered dozens and dozens and dozens of different kinds of meditational experiences in our time in interacting with humanity. I noticed they don't do them every day either. Okay? It's okay, all right? Please relieve yourself of any guilt about that.

Because when you share that, I'm hearing the kind of dogmatism. It's like that, you know, faith by works and all this kind of stuff. And that's fine … and it's not necessarily how it is.

Could you consider the possibility – and this is certainly not to disparage anyone who's doing it all the time, but we just want to offer you this perspective, generally speaking – maybe they need it more? Just perspective. And I'm not saying that's true of them. I'm just offering that perspective, right?

So commitment isn't about what it looks like on the outside. Effectiveness isn't about how long or how often. Okay? It's about, am I present in the moment with what I'm doing in the moment.

I would rather you meditate any meditation, including smelling a beautiful flower for five minutes and give yourself entirely to it, than a day of whatever meditation you might think of when you can't be fully present with it. Eh? Because it's about quality, not quantity. At some point, ultimately you live the meditation, whatever meditation. Right? Because you walk constantly, consciously in tune, but you're evolving into that and variety is a spice of life. Okay? And different strokes for different folks and
all that stuff.

Okay? You are sort of at an impasse only because you feel you're not doing enough, which is why I first asked. “What must you do to be?” Okay? So are you BEing? How are you BEing?

And that's – I'm going to give you some homework. You're special. I'm going to give you some homework. [group laughter] And I don't necessarily mean short bus special, either, just so you know. [laughter] You’re special in a good way.

Here, let me put it to you this way because then you're going to go, “Oh my God, I'm not doing this enough.” All right, so I would love you, all of you actually, but definitely you in this context, to look in the mirror every morning and ask, “How am I being?” Look in your eyes. “How am I being?” Okay? “What am I being? How am I being?”

And let the BEing be more important than the doing.

Okay, because from being, the appropriate doing arises, and that may be that meditation 24/7, it may be any number of things.

Okay, but from being, the appropriate doing naturally arises. That's an absolute spiritual fact.

Student: I think that one was about all of us.

Student: I want to do it too. That’s great homework!

Master Chan: Yeah. Please do. Because it's about owning yourself, right? And it's not about owning the ego conditioned self, which is mostly illusion, anyway. It's about owning that extraordinary spiritual self that is extraordinarily powerful, extraordinarily infinite, extraordinarily beautiful. And it's already there. Okay? And it's all about BEing. Okay? Egos and the conditioning of this world say it's all about doing. Your Soul – all about being. Okay, so can I be at peace? Can I be and joy? Can I be grateful? Can I be appreciative? Can I be … just open? Can I be willing? Can I be humble? Can I be confused and be okay with being confused? Can I be frustrated and be okay with being frustrated? Can I be afraid and be okay with being afraid? Eh? Can I be afraid of being angry of being judgmental and be okay with all that? [laughter] Eh?

Because there is what I, the ego feels, and there's what I, the Soul feels about that. And the Soul is always going to love Itself and the you that is feeling the whatever. Eh? Even the despair, even the feeling like I'm failing or getting behind or whatever. And you're not. Everybody's on their own path.

You sometimes have to slow down, right? Sometimes you need to be a little more thorough. You can't do that racing down the road. Eh? So it's like, just be where you are. And if where I am looks like a slowed down space. Okay, it's not a race. If where I am right now, just like I'm racing headlong down the highway. Okay, that's fine. Then I'll be okay with that.

Student: I’m glad I’m having, getting ready to take an evolutionary leap, isn't that … that, that
lets me know I'm not failing? That I’m not behind.

MC: Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, definitely not.

Student: I’m just feeling like it.

MC: Okay, one more thing I'll throw out about that. If you ever feel like you're behind – see if you're comparing yourself to anybody but you. Okay? And that would include your own imagination of yourself. [group laughter] Okay?

Because see, where lots of very heart-centered, well-meaning people get hung up is that they idealize their evolution, then fail to meet their idealized standard of that evolution.

Okay? It's so much better if you just start out with, “You know, I'm totally screwed and anything's better than where I've been.” [group laughter] Right? If you just start out that way, it just makes everything so much easier.

And I know that sounds like a contradiction. “Oh my God, how dare he even say something like that.”
But … it's honest.

Okay? You're an extraordinary being, becoming aware of just how extraordinary you are, AKA, you're not aware of how extraordinary you are yet, which means you are subject to illusions that say you are not extraordinary to varying degrees.

And that's all it is. It doesn’t mean you actually are a failure. It just means you have convinced yourself that's how it appears right now.

Student: My guru just talked about the issue of worthiness and to focus on knowing, truly knowing you're worthy. And you can't step into that light til you, you feel that.

MC: Indeed. Indeed. And one of the things that prevents the knowing is the assumption that you're not.

Student: Right.

Student: I can feel me get into such judgment over self. And I felt like that was holding me back.

MC: Yeah. Yeah. And sometimes it can, and not forever, but it certainly can be an impediment short term. But, okay, if egoically speaking you are not fully aware and awake and conscious yet, okay, then are you egoically qualified to discern your level of evolution?

Student: No. [chuckles]

MC: Okay. So when you notice yourself attempting to compare and discern your level of evolution, you might as well just disqualify that because you're not qualified to know. [group laughter]

Student: And that's supposed to make you feel better. [group laughter]

MC: Yeah. Well, okay. So, hey, if the so-called bad guys can use your own feelings to thwart
you, why can't the so-called good guys use your own feelings to accelerate you? Right?

So, you have illusions. That's no surprise. It's not a secret. Everybody does. They are inaccurate. Okay? And some of those, like, “I'm not good enough,” sound like a stumbling block and a bad thing. But if you just accept that you're not good enough, then any progress is something to celebrate, right?

Student: [group laughter] This is paradoxical stuff here.

MC: Exactly. Exactly! So it's like, I suck. So yay me! [more laughter] Really!

Student: I made lots of progress too! [laughter continues]

MC: I am fully cognizant of just how bad it is right now. So yay! Okay? I can grow from that.
It's when you think you're already there that you stop growing, Beloved, not when you're
studiously trying to hurry up and get there. Eh?

So yeah, if you can’t take some comfort in the fact that anything is progress, that's a good thing. Because that belief is already there. I'm not telling you to feel bad about yourself. But if you already do, then use it to your advantage. That's what I'm saying. Okay? Because you can.

Who's to say feeling bad about yourself is a bad thing. In the hands of someone who's consciously observing the condition, you can use that to empower yourself. And that's where your power is. Eh?

Student: Thank you.

Have you ever felt like you were getting behind? That you has somehow detoured far off your path? How did you handle it? What worked best for you?
